The Writing Process: Stage 2
Today, we learned about controlling ideas and organizing and developing support in writing. Usually, prompts are given to students and in my experience, I made my own topic sentence only a few times. The only thing I find difficult in supporting a certain topic is that sometimes it would sound similar to another topic or I can't think of a third topic.

Oh man, even the Effective and Ineffective portion of the exercise was a little difficult. It's kind of tricky because sometimes it'll seem like it is ineffective, but actually it is effective. Like how one was "The word macho..." I didn't know that was considered specific; therefore, it made the controlling idea effective.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes have these problem too. this is why i keep a thasaurus in handy.
