Goodbye

Today being the last day is a very bittersweet feeling. I'm glad that today is the last day because I can finally stay home and not worry about homework or studying for tests. I am going to miss my fellow classmates and my really sweet professor. I want to thank everyone for helping me through this course. I could not have done it without the help of you guys, and Professor. I wish everyone the best of luck and hope to see your around next semester.

Farewell

Today is the last day and I have got to say that taking this course with Dr. Rivera as the instructor is very interesting. I have learned things that I have not before, got to experience how a hybrid course is like, and I got the chance to create a website for the first time. We have learned and did so much within a month, which I thought was not even impossible to finish the book, but we did it and wow. I wish that my classmates and I pass this course and I wish them and Dr. Rivera all the luck for the future. That is all I have to say, farewell~

Farewell guys!!!!

Vani and Tricia you guys are awesome people to be with in class.  I have enjoyed the time  that we have spent in class together. I really dig the awesome support we have given to each other and will miss this small class.

The End of the Chapter

The work that we have done today somewhat caught me off guard, because English is a sneaky language.

Writing Handbook

Today we discussed about the writing handbook chapter. It entails the basics rules and grammatical structures we should know before even writing. Although this is something we all should know already, since english is a complicated language to learn, we could not help but be confused at times. Today's class was interesting and short than usual and it was good to have a recap on the basics.

Chapter 17: Writing Handbook

Yay, we have finished the entire book! Congratulation classmates! Today's lesson was not as complex because it was basically things we have gone over through the previous years. The parts that were tricky and confusing was stating the part of speech for the word that was identified and identifying the fragments, comma slice, and run on sentences. Other than that, everything else was super easy.

Definitions

Definition essays is fairly easy to understand, and the examples they use in this chapter show that definition essays does not only consist of definition, but a combination of other modes of discourse.

Definition & Test 3

Today,  we learned about definition and it was short discussion today since it is pretty self explanatory. Doing definition papers would be , in  my opinion the simplest to do since what you basically do is elaborate one word.

Also, we did our third test. It was quite difficult since I had a brain fart in certain parts but hopefully I did well and as well as the others.

Definition & Test 3

Today's lesson on definition was quite simple. There is not much to learn about because it is stuff we have previously learned through out the years. The group work was not as much fun as the past few days, but it was good that we worked together as a team. About test 3, it was definitely not what I had expected. It was quite difficult for me. Maybe I just need more practice, or I need to study longer.

Comparison & Contrast

Today, we learned about comparison and contrast. usually the way I would organize my outline is using the subject by subject. I've never used the point by point so far. Today was interesting and I like to do the group work because it makes things faster and i get to hear others thoughts aside from mine.

Compare and Contrast

The work that we have done on the Comparison and Contrast was confusing at firs, but each exercise on the Comparison and Contrast I understood it.

Comparison and contrast showing similarities and differences

Today's lessons was once again FUN. I really liked the exercises that we did today, they were fun while we were working as a group. Good laughs. What I learned today was the the point by point  and subject by subject outlines, for me I find that the subject by subject outline is easier than the point by point outlines. Another thing that I learned today was that when developing your ideas you are going to need to use the 4 P's: Purpose, Points, Patterns, Presentations.

Cause and Effect

Cause and Effect is great on showing relation to the  sentence topic or the thesis of the essay and I sometimes use this for my essays. it helps me fill in the blanks.

Cause & Effects chapter

Today we learned about Cause and Effect, I have only used this type of writing only once as far as I remember. It was my first time hearing the "post hoc fallacy" and since now I am aware of it, I wil avoid it. Other than that, I do not really know what to say about this chapter.

Cause & Effect

Today's lesson was quite interesting. I like the exercise that was given within this chapter. Again, I like how we get to work together. What I didn't know about causes & effects is that there are 2 types: Primary & secondary, and also immediate or remote. Another thing I didn't know about was the "Post hoc fallacy" and how you are not suppose to follow that. What you are suppose to follow is the time order of: Time, Order, and Space.
