All stages & Descriptive Writing

I thought that the Writing Process worksheet was going to be easy, but I thought wrong. It was only difficult when it came down to the actual thinking. The outlining was the difficult part for me. Other than that, the worksheet really keeps everything in order. Filling out for stage one was probably the easiest of them all, so far. Free writing is pretty easy, I think that is easier than listing.

In chapter 7, my attention was caught when it got to the portion of the chapter the point of view. I, myself tend to jump around when it comes to the usage of point of view. Another topic that caught my attention was the subjective & objectives. I didn't know that when you are dealing with objectives, you need to be emotionless, or at least show no emotions. Other than subjective, you can show as much emotions as you want. In this chapter, I liked the example passages they used: The Babe Ruth, and the Hefty Burger.

I really liked working together as a class! It is so fun!

  1. Writing worksheet was easy in the beginning, but near the end of the process it tends to be quite difficult and for me listing is alright, for me free writing takes too much of my time.

What can i say about chapter 7, Other than you have to keep the same tone, but the thing that really caught my eye was the subjective and objective. I like how the book explained the difference between the two, were one is emotional view than facts.

  2. I agree with you Tricia, on how I thought using the worksheet would be a piece of cake, but I was wrong.
I agree with you too Clyde, on how freewriting takes too much time and that's why I too, prefer to outline my thoughts.
I also, like how the book explained the subjective and objective thoroughly and gave examples.
