All Stages & Descriptive Narration

Today we had an overview of the 3 Stages in the Writing Process and putting it into use.  Following the 3 Stages is definitely a huge help in creating essays but, at some points it gets quite difficult (sometimes I don't know what to write in a certain stage).  Even though it's somewhat difficult, since it makes you really think, it's really helpful since it organizes my thoughts.

Writing a descriptive narration is not an easy to master.  This type of writing was introduced to me in junior high school and up till now, I have a really hard time being descriptive in writing.  Writing a descriptive narration really makes one's imagination exercise. Sometimes, I now what to say in detail but there's that one moment where I can't think of a certain word I want to use, I get stuck and end up using a word I don't like. Due to that, I somewhat loose appetite to continue on, I practically loose my train of thoughts. I think the best thing to do in writing a descriptive narration is to freewrite first, so that my train of thoughts will be flowing and I won't get distracted.

  1. The writing worksheet does help out a lot on organizing my thoughts, but I also find it difficult when you hit the tail end of stage two and the beginning of stage three in the writing worksheet. On top of the writing work sheet, descriptive narration is not my favorite subject, but we still have to learn the essence of this essay and hopefully master this essay.

  3. Yeah, the worksheet does help out a lot. It's just knowing what to write in that is the difficult part. & I agree, I hope we do master it.
